About Me

Overall, I simply want to solve problems.  I'm not a career politician.  I do not have a history of political activism, nor do I have many connections to the political system.  So, by the same thread, I am a blank slate.  If anything, that is the most important thing I can bring to the table.  As a blank slate candidate, I am renewing the age-old claim by President Lincoln "that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth" (Gettysburg Address, 1863).

At this point, Americans are fed up with career politicians perpetuating a system that does not work for them.  Here's what I believe qualifies me to discuss some of the current issues facing the United States: 1) I'm a background healthcare worker and a pre-med student with prospects for medical school, so when I talk about healthcare, my opinions are based on research and experience; 2) My studies as a biology major has brought me up to speed on current climate trends, informing my stances on combating climate change; and 3) I'm an everyday candidate for the everyday American, meaning my only interest is the overall welfare of the American citizen and producing modern solutions to the modern problems we have today.

As a blank slate candidate, I am devoting my time and worries to the people. I look forward to hearing from all of the voters and continuing to hear from you as I work in Congress.

In Defense of Our Rights

I am a husband, a father, a student, and a healthcare worker.  While I consider myself a moderate candidate, I support progressive policies where it counts, meaning that I will never infringe on our citizens' rights to pursue a progressive policy.  I am getting into this race to help build a better future for my fellow citizens and to compound the guarantees given by US citizenship.

Family Focused

As a new father, I've found there's quite the learning curve in being a parent.  It threw me for a loop, finding how much I could love a little being.  When Maggie was born, I knew I'd be dedicating every day of my life to her and her success.   More than that, I realized that such devotion should be found within our government for its citizens.  My promise is to treat my position with the same acute level of care and attention that I do as a father.
